Each month a book or movie is chosen.  Read the book or watch the film on your own and join the discussion each month.  All are welcome!

March Film: Becoming (Netflix)

Discussion Date: Sunday, March 23 following worship

Please watch the documentary Becoming in March on your own and join us for our discussion on March 23rd.  In the documentary, former first lady Michelle Obama takes an intimate look at her life, hopes, and connections with others.  

April Book: Good Enough 40ish Devotionals for a Life of Imperfection, by Kate Bowler and Jessica Richie. 

Discussion:  Palm Sunday, April 13th following worship.

For Lent, starting on Ash Wednesday, March 5th, read a devotion a day for the 40 days of Lent.  Pastor Katie will be using this book for her Sermon Series for Lent.  In the reflections, Bowler and Richie offer fresh imagination for how truth, beauty, and meaning can be discovered amid the chaos of life.

T’ai Chi Chih

Explore the benefits of T’ai Chi Chih, a moving meditation that improves balance and flexibility, reduces stress, and promotes mindfulness and concentration. The practice of T’ai Chi Chih is easy to learn regardless of age or physical ability. Come as you are—no special clothing required, just bring flexible shoes or barefoot. Work with an accredited instructor on a healing art, not a martial art.

Linda Zelig is an accredited instructor in T’ai Chi Chih and has been teaching all levels of this healing art for the past seven years in schools and churches for all age levels. She believes T’ai Chi Chih is for anyone who wants to achieve better flexibility and balance in life.

Men's Bible/Book Study Zoom Group 

Men's group will be finishing our study of Romans on March 6 and starting a new book on March 13.  Jim Watson will be leading the study of the new book which is "Hitchhiking with the Prophets" by Chad Bird.  We start with fellowship time via zoom on Thursdays at 8:15a, and our study goes from 8:45a to 9:30a.  Guys can contact either Jim or me if they have any questions.

Women’s Bible Study

Our Lenten study, the group will be reading and discussing the book Savior: What the Bible Says About the Cross, by Magrey DeVega.
We will begin the study on Thursday, March 6.
